This Belongs in a Museum

Once called the "Stephen Fry of Museum Blogging," this tumblog, written by a frustrated museologist, is dedicated to the small, random museums and weird attractions of the world. Always informative, usually funny, sometimes offensive.

Bringing you museum-approved grammatical errors and typos since 2010.

Postcard from the Museum of Funeral Customs:

“The practice of preparing the body at a funeral home’s embalming room and conducting funeral service there, rather than at the home, became more popular starting in the 1920s. The Museum of Funeral Customs is located at 1440 Monument Avenue, next to Abraham Lincoln’s Tomb in Springfield, Illinois”

Sad to hear that the Museum closed sometime in 2009. It was really cool.
