Plenty of strange houses have been featured on this blog, but probably the most beautiful one, located in Louviers, France, is La Maison de la Vaisselle Cassée. From the 1950s until his death in 2002, a former milkman named Robert Vasseur decorated his family’s home with mosaics made from sea-shells and broken china  The entire property, inside and out (even the dog house), is covered with colorful pieces of glass and stone, most of which was collected from other people’s garbage. Monsieur Vasseur’s Broken Crockery House lives on, his family still own the property and open it for tours. Lots of images here.
