Happy April Fools’ Day! What started as an April Fools joke in 2012 became a permanent art installation in Elberta, Alabama. Created by the artist Mark Cline, who often displays creations on April Fools’ Day like “Foamhenge”, the “Lady in the Lake” first appeared in a pond at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama. But Mr. Barber, the owner of the park, actually liked the joke so much that he kept the lady around for months, before moving the 7,500 pound “Lady” south so she can float in his public marina on the Gulf Coast.
