Almost a year ago, Mr. Ed’s Elephant Museum in Pennsylvania lost one-third of its 10,000 elephant collection in a devastating fire. Luckily, Mr. Ed has received community support and a number of donations in his effort to rebuild the museum. From the good luck gift he received on his wedding day back in 1967, Mr. Ed has been collecting elephants from all over the world ever since. Some of his items include an elephant potty chair, hair dryer and a 24-karat gold circus wagon. So if you’re a Civil War nut visiting a Gettysburg reenactment, make sure to stop by Ed’s museum…it reopened a few months ago. The more the merrier.
