Today is National Hot Dog Day, because clearly Americans do not consume enough hot dogs and need to eat more. Stop it with the salads, people! At O’Betty’s Red Hot! in Athens, Ohio is the Wonderful Wacky Hot Dog Museum. Their slogan is “The Weenie with the Wiggle” and apparently that’s true. While patrons devour garlic french fries and hot dogs covered in slaw, they can take a look at walls of glass cabinets filled with hot dog memorabilia. Some of the items include hot dog shaped buildings, cars, toys, candy, cooking utensils, dangerous looking hot dog cookers, toys, games, clothing, and various books. So hopefully you’ll have a hot dog today and remember to never ever put ketchup on it!
