It’s time for another episode of random sex museum post. The blog has told you about the Sex Machines Museum in Prague, the only Museum of Sex in China, Austria’s Museum of Contraception and Abortion, and the world’s oldest sex museum in Amsterdam. Today it’s Russia’s turn with Tochka G. Although Russia seems like the last possible place to have a museum dedicated to all things sex, founder and curator Alexander Donskoi doesn’t much care for Putin and the current government. This is evident in the museum’s main attraction, a painting by artist Vera Donskaya-Khilko that depicts Russian President Vladimir Putin doing naked battle with U.S. President Barack Obama.
This artwork (a copy of the original) along with a few others were seized by the Russian police from the museum’s St. Petersburg branch a year and a half ago. The museum, or the G-Spot Museum as it is otherwise known, has over 3,000 items on display in its Moscow and St. Petersburg locations. There are Soviet-era condoms, pamphlets on VD, and skeletons getting it on. The museum also has Russia’s largest sex shop that sells everything from naughty-themed matryoshka dolls to sexy uniforms (which have proved to be quite popular with the public).
