March 17th is Picture a Museum day. Why didn’t someone tell me? I hope I’m not too late. Can it be a picture of a picture of a closed exhibit of pictures?
Sidewalks: Portraits of Chicago was a 2010 exhibit at the Chicago Tourist Center. The exhibit’s images and accounts come from Charles Osgood’s photographs and Rick Kogan’s columns, now compiled in two books, “Sidewalks: Portraits of Chicago” and “Sidewalks II: Reflections on Chicago” that capture the neighborhoods, culture and history of the city’s “so-called ordinary people and simple places”.
Also, the woman who took this picture happens to work at the Art Institute of Chicago. So this post is very museum (as well as Chicago) friendly.
