Located in People’s Square, Shanghai, the Urban Planning museum displays the city’s urban planning and development as well as its history. The centerpiece is a scale model depicting Shanghai circa 2020. Every single building (at least every planned one) in China’s most populated city can be viewed alongside or from above. There’s also a small room with a 360 degree view as well as a video of flying through the air over the city. Apparently this is a thing in China as there is also a similar museum in Beijing.
