There’s nothing I find scarier than a room full of ventriloquist dummies. So of course this means I won’t be visiting the Vent Haven Museum in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky (if it is still open…this is subject to debate). It was founded by an amateur ventriloquist named William Shakespeare Berger and it’s the only museum of its kind in the ENTIRE world. You mean there aren’t more of these kinds of museums? Shocking!
There are over 700 scary figures staring back at you, including thousands of photos, playbills and books. Also, let’s not forget the annual international ConVENTion, still going strong after all these years. Okay…ready to have plenty of nightmares tonight.
