We’ve covered potatoes here before. Several times actually. Look at the August 2010 archive if you don’t believe me. There are several museums across the world dedicated to this starchy wonder; but surprisingly nothing for the Yukon Gold variety, which is the perfect potato for mashing. The Sweet Potato appears to be left out too. But I think that’s probably asking too much of the museum world, you know, to be so potato specific. Because most of you weren’t here at the very beginning when I started this blog, I will repeat a museum for you. If you can’t find the perfect tool in your utensil drawer tomorrow while cooking Thanksgiving dinner, just go to America’s potato capital. At the Idaho Potato Museum there is the world’s largest potato masher collection as well as a giant outdoor baked potato. Now that I think about, I’d rather go to this place tomorrow than hang out with my relatives and feel fat. Maybe next year…it looks like they’re open.
