It’s already tomorrow in Australia. Or maybe it’s tomorrow tomorrow.
Did you know the land down under is home to over 150 BIG things? Most are tourist traps and roadside attractions, but it’s interesting nonetheless. I don’t know…it kind of makes me want to go to Australia now.
Sculptor Ben Zetton completed the Giant Koala in 1989. Located in Dadswell Bridge, Victoria, Australia, it stands 14 meters tall and weighs 12 tonnes. I’m an American so I don’t know what the fuck the metric system means. Since last year, the giant statue was renamed in memory of Sam the Koala. Sam became famous after she was saved from a bushfire with third-degree burns and lung damage. It is an effort to raise awareness of Australia’s declining koala population. Sad.
